Lake Palace or Jag Niwas was built in 1754 by Maharana Jagat Singh II who gave his name to this elegant white building. The Lake Palace Udaipur is a palace on an island in the middle of Lake Pichola girdled by hills, was the summer residence of the rulers of Mewar. Today this pleasure palace is a luxury hotel like none other in the world.

Lake Palace house's 85 rooms including 13 beautiful suites and 53 Deluxe rooms. We also boast of a Restaurant, a coffee shop and a well appointed lobby with jewellery and souvenir shops. This expansive building of Lake Palace covers an area of about 4 acres including beautiful trees and gardens. Cuisine of the most mouth-watering variety brought to life by our skilled chefs. Be honored and indulged as befits royalty.

Presently Lake Palace Hotel is under operating contract with the Indian Hotels Company Limited.

Lake Palace's Jharokha : 24 hour coffee shop facing the lake and the city palace. Lake Palace's Amrit Sagar : The bar, decorated with intricate glass mosaic work on the walls and ceiling. Lake Palace's Neel Kamal : Facing the lily pond, serves Indian and continental cuisine.
