Chamba is having one of the most picturesque saucer shaped plateau in its' heart, surrounded by dense pine and giant deodar forests along spongy meadow of around 1.5 Kms. long and 1.0 Km. broad. It has a magical WATER BABY LAKE with a floating island in between. The old ancient temple of KHAJJI NAG with golden dome exists here. The place has a soothing and refreshing quietness in atmosphere. In fact, KHAJJIAR is a HONYMOONERS' PARADISE and that's why it is called as the GULMARG OF HIMACHAL.

The forest between Dalhousie and Khajjiar abound in wild life. In the higher regions, near snowline, are found the Snow leopards, the Ibex, the Marmots and at lower elevations Brown bear, Musk deer, Leopards, Wild pigs and Wild fowl can be seen. Some of the area has now been covered under WILD LIFE SANCTUARY.
The resort has been renamed as 'MINI SWITZERLAND' of INDIA by Mr. Willy P. Blazer, the vice counselor and head of chancery of Switzerland in India.

Adventure Paradise

Khajjiar offers a no. of adventure sports to keep yourself busy from high flight paragliding to small hops for children to zorbing for everyone. People intersted in adventure can satisfy their thirst in paragliding. The passenger will fly in a tandem glider accompnied by qualified pilot. Our high flight take off is Dain-Kund situated at awsome hight of 8200 feet above sea level.

The flight will a last for 30 min. to 45 min. depending on thermals (wind condition). The passenger can have a breathtaking eagles eye view of the whole chamba valley and wild life sanctury.

Hot air balloon flights can also be arranged for groups on demand. We also give sunset balloon flights for honeymoon couples.
