In the core of the luxurious and serene environment of Hiranandani Gardens stands RODAS - An Ecotel Hotel a signature creation of the Hiranandani Group.
RODAS, which means the junction of heaven and earth in Sanskrit, is a uniquely appropriate name for this hotel; where concern for guests goes hand in hand with friendliness towards the earth. The hotel, with its neo-classical arched façade and modern interiors designed by renowned Architect Hafeez Contractor, displays a distinct combination of contemporary design and old world charm.
RODAS is India's first Corporate Designer Ecotel Hotel and the second Ecotel in India complying with all five requisite norms for Hospitality Valuation Services International's ECOTEL certification: Solid waste Management, Energy efficiency, Water conservation and preservation, Employee education and Community Involvement.
Technically speaking, the passive energy conservation efforts are well thought of in the design. The focus point of the parabolic shape faces the northeast, hence reducing the direct sunlight thereby reducing electricity consumption by way of lesser air conditioning and lighting. A false wall and double glazed windows further help in considerably reducing the energy requirement. Stringent quality control and a passionate awareness in terms of preserving ecology is evident throughout the operations at every level, and regulated by an international authority.
All the accommodation provided by Travelmasti are in the most comfortable hotels/resorts/camps, handpicked especially for you, offering the best stay to make your business or leisure trip, simply 'worth it'.

FAR EAST. A journey into a mystic experience
A Brief pre-launch revelation of the new dining location at RODAS, an Ecotel Hotel at Hiranandani Gardens, Powai. RODAS unveils plans to launch the opening of its newest addition to its multifaceted endeavours to provide quality services among its food and beverage outlets. Far East is the latest offering to the discerning patrons who have taken to the great food and ambience at the boutique hotel. Offering far eastern cuisine, as the name suggests, the menu shall offer as a bouquet, the best of nations such as China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The countries of the Far East are multi-faceted, exotic, intriguing and so are their manifold cuisines. The cuisines have been evolved by social customs, age-old traditions, and human ingenuity; and influenced by factors such as religion, geography and climate; and also by friendly visitors as well as by aggressive occupations. Each cuisine by its style, cooking method and ingredient is the record of the evolution of the country telling the story of its own land, history and people.
Dominating them all is the cuisine of China. The Chinese cuisine we relish today was born in far off times. The phrase 'kopeng' then recorded, describes clearly the cut and cook method that is now called 'stir fry'. The cuisine was full of exotic food such as frogs, turtles, pheasants, peacocks, etc. But in recent times these exotic components are restricted to a few select restaurants. Chinese cuisines on offer shall be unique from provinces such as Szechwan, Cantonese and Mandarin.
By contrast, Japanese food is almost austere in its simplicity, a clean reflection of the Buddhist philosophy. Cooking methods are simple, seasonings uncomplicated and primary ingredients limited to what is absolutely fresh and locally available. But from this apparent lack of complexity has evolved a cuisine, which is unique in style and flavour.
The cuisines of Malaysia and Indonesia overlap in many areas. Both have developed through an integration of many other styles of cooking. The Indians influenced their curry making and the use of spices. The Malays and Indonesians have their own culinary style and there is also a very strong Chinese influence. In Indonesian cuisine, there is a lot of Dutch influence. And then there is also the exquisite Nonyan cuisine, a unique shoot of the cuisines of Malaysia and Singapore that developed because of Malay and Chinese inter marriages. Far East shall ambitiously attempt to explore this exemplary facet of Nonyan cuisine that shall remain as one of its specialties.
The dominant element in Thai cooking is the chili. The Thais have evolved a cuisine that demands a passionate response. The Thais have both stir-fries and curries, which are very hot in flavour, and on the other hand they have some soothing, extra mild almost bland dishes.
The Vietnamese often serve an abundance of freshly picked local greenery and herbs with the meal. The Vietnamese is yet another cuisine influenced by the Buddhist religion and is a simple and meager cuisine.
In Burmese cuisine there is an influence of Indian and Sino - Tibetan cuisines.
These are the cuisines that will be portrayed in Far East that will have a show kitchen where patrons can take delight in watching what is being actually prepared for them. The restaurant shall have subtle décor and an underplayed elegance in style and ambience where RODAS shall endeavor to provide a really great dining experience.
The mystical experience of the Far East is about to be brought to a beautiful location not so far away from you.
