The villa is one of the oldest houses in the area and still retains many original features including cool lofty high beamed ceilings and wooden shuttered doors and windows. The house still has the original mother of pearl window shells (xianino) which have been maintained till today.

Particular features of the house are the shady verandahs in the front that run the full width of the house and the delightful plant filled courtyard garden crammed full of fruit bearing trees like mango, chickoo, banana, papaya, etc. Sitting in the front porch, one can view the large expanse of green fields and the hills beyond - a sight to behold. Through out the day, one can hear the twitter of the various birds around the place. It is indeed an ideal location for an enchanting holiday.

Location

Situated in a secluded area, it is still only 4 kms from Candolim beach and 3 kms from the birding paradise of Saligao, the closet market area.

Accommodation

Large comfortably furnished porch at the front overlooking green fields. Traditional shuttered wooden doors lead into a large sitting room furnished with carved antique sofas. From the hall, a door leads into the huge Dining Room, fit for a king and his court. A large dining table and chairs are at the center, with a side table.

A passage from the Dining room, leads one to the kitchen where in the olden days the cooking used to be on wood fires. A fully equipped kitchen has now replaced the old, with modern amenities like gas cooker & refrigerator. The kitchen still retains the old charm and looks out onto the large backyard.

From the sitting room, a door leads onto a superb room which is now converted into an office. The office has huge shuttered windows, which looks out to the open fields in front of the villa. The office is furnished with a writing table and a chair.If necessary, this room can be converted into a bedroom.

From the Dining Room, an Inner hallway leads into

Bedroom 1 which has an antique double four poster bed and an en suite bathroom which is large and is fitted with modern amenities like wash basin, hot/cold showers, and a western toilet.

Bedroom 2 also has an antique double four poster bed with attached bathroom with hot/cold showers & a western toilet.

Bedroom 3 has two single beds Heavy wooden shutter doors that lead out on to the kitchen & the backyard. The bathroom is outside the room with hot/cold showers and a western toilet.

Bedrooms 4 & 5 are down the long corridor just after the pantry and have single beds. There is an ensuite bathroom with bedroom 4 which is just opposite the well in the compound.

TERMS

1. The property rates quoted is for a minimum duration of one week rental
2. Any other whole week thereafter will be calculated at additional stay.
3. Any extra days stay e.g. part of a week; will be calculated on a pro-rata basis of the weekly rental.
4. For rentals of more than three weeks or longer duration, please ask for special discounts.
5. Where a letting period spans two pricing bands than the price prevailing for the majority of the week is the price that will be applied for the entire week.
6. Transfers from Dabolim Airport / Railway Station
