UP - Uttarkashi

Uttarkashi is a thrilling small town nestled within wooded slopes at an altitude of 1150 mts. The bewitching scenery, high cliff mountains, old temples combined with the smiling faces of the people make up for a fascinating image of the whole valley.

Location

Shikhar Nature Resort is conveniently located 5 km from Uttarkashi on the way to Gangotri at an altitude of 1150 Mt. Scenically situated by the bank of sacred river Bhagirathi and spread over 3 acres of lush green forests, the Resort brings you the comforts of nature and keeps you close to the valley of Gods, as the Gangotri Temple is only 95 km away.

Uttarkashi is well connected by road 155 kms from Rishikesh. From Delhi morning Shatabdi Train runs to Haridwar (Dep : 0710 / Arr 11:22) and then take a taxi to Rishikesh. From Rishikesh local buses and jeeps are available for Uttarkashi

Relaxation Acivities

To relieve your mind from the bustles of metro life we introduce you to Yoga and Meditation to give peace and complete relaxation to your mind and body. Besides spend time playing Badminton, Basketball and Carrom.

Accommodation

We provide specially designed 12FT/12FT deluxe tents with attached bathroom. These tents are provided with beds and mattresses, blankets, fresh linen and towels. Each tent faces the river. Special care is taken to maintain hygiene and cleanliness. We also have tents without attached bathrooms.

Dining and Services

To make you feel closer to the nature, exquisite meals are served in the open garden with delectable Indian/Chinese/Continental vegetarian dishes. Meals are prepared fresh by our expert cooks. Laundry, Car Parking, Doctor on call, Travel and transport arrangement.

Excursions

We can provide day excursion to Gangotri temple, local sightseeing of Uttarkashi. Picnics, visits to hot water springs at Gangnani, Nachiketal lake and Vishwanatha Temple. Besides we also undertake short Nature walks.

For adventure enthusiasts our expert mountain guides will take you for thrilling activities like Rock Climbing, Rapalling, River crossing, Short Treks and hikes. Cycles are available for leisure rides around the Resort.

Seasons

The Resort is operational during May - June & Aug - Oct. (i.e. Pre and Post monsoon summer months only.) and offers accommodation for 50 guests.
