Experience these multiple facets of Rajasthan, along with the capital city and the city of Taj Mahal on this wonderfully paced holiday. The tour is laced with visits to splendid palaces reminiscent of the age of royalty, dazzling colors of its magnificent festivals, folklores of its brave Rajput rulers, joviality of its beauteous performing art forms, its lip-smacking cuisines and the overwhelming hospitality with which the guests are pampered. Day-By-Day Itinerary Day 1: Arrive in Delhi On arrival transfer to hotel for overnight stay. Day 2: Delhi- Nawalgarh/ Mandawa Leave for visit to Jama Masjid, Red Fort and Rajghat. In afternoon, leave for Nawalgarh/Mandawa. Day 3: Nawalgarh/ Mandawa – Bikaner Visit the 'Havelis' of Nawalgarh & Mandawa, and in the afternoon, transfer to Bikaner. Day 4: Bikaner-Jaisalmer Visit the Junagadh Fort and the Camel Breeding Farm. In the afternoon, leave Bikaner for Jaisalmer. Day at leisure. Day 5: Jaisalmer Morning, take a city tour of Jaisalmer. See Jaisalmer Fort followed by evening excursion to Sam sand dunes. Day 6: Jaisalmer-Jodhpur Leave for Jodhpur. Afternoon, visit the Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada & Clock Tower. Day 7: Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Mount Abu Morning, transfer to Mount Abu, en-route visit Jain temples at Ranakpur. Day 8: Mount Abu – Udaipur Morning, visit Mt. Abu - the Dilwara Jain temples. Afternoon, transfer to Udaipur. Day 9: Udaipur Witness the Jagdish Temple, Sahelion Ki Bari, City Palace & drive around Fatehsagar Lake. Evening boat ride on Lake Pichola. Day 10: Udaipur - Chittorgarh – Pushkar Leave Udaipur for Pushkar, en-route visit Chittorgarh. Afternoon, visit the holy city of Pushkar. Day 11 Pushkar – Jaipur Leave for Jaipur. Take a sightseeing tour of Jaipur and visit Jantar Mantar, City Palace. Day 12: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri – Agra Take an excursion to Amber Fort. Also visit Jagmandir Jai Mahal & temple of Kali. In the afternoon, leave Jaipur for Agra, en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri. Day 13 Agra –Delhi Visit the Agra Fort, Itmad-ud-Daulah followed by the visit to Taj Mahal. Later drive to Delhi. Day 14: Delhi- Depatrure Set on full day tour of Old & New Delhi. Drive pass President’s House, Parliament, also visit India Gate, Humayun's Tomb & Qutab Minar. Evening, transfer to the airport for onward journey.

| | | Day 1: Arrive in Delhi |  | Upon your arrival at the airport, meet our representative awaiting just
outside the arrival hall, past the customs area & currency shops.
Later at the hotel our representative will brief you about tour starting
day after. Delhi, the national capital of India is an historic city
and commercial centre of Northern India. Numerous dynasties ruled and
flourished each bequeathing the city with different colours, shades and
folds of civilisation as heritage. With a multi-ethnic society, Delhi
welcomes all to witness a miniature of the vast Indian subcontinent. | | | | Day 2: Delhi- Nawalgarh/ Mandawa |  | Start exploring the city from the undulated lanes of Old-Delhi. The
attractions here worth visiting first include the magnificent UNESCO
World Heritage Site of Red Fort and the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque
in India. The day tour will also include visits to one of the largest
brick minarets of the world- Qutab Minar, white lotus shaped Baha’i
Temple- Lotus Temple, the stunning Humayun's Tomb built in 1562 CE, and
beauteous Laxmi Narayan Temple. In the afternoon, leave Delhi for
Nawalgarh/Mandawa. These cities of Shekhawati region are renowned for
best preserved havelis or castles dating back to the age of royalty in
Rajasthan. Arrive Nawalgarh/Mandawa and check in at the hotel. | | | | Day 3: Nawalgarh/ Mandawa – Bikaner |  | | Morning
trip is the visit at the 'Havelis' of Nawalgarh & Mandawa. Explore
some of the finest works of frescoes at these havelis in Nawalgarh/
Mandawa. In the afternoon you will be driven to Bikaner. Upon arrival,
check in at the hotel for overnight stay. | | | | Day 4: Bikaner-Jaisalmer |  | Leave for Bikaner, a remote town tucked away in the Thar Desert. Once in
Bikaner and after lunch, proceed on a sightseeing tour. A medieval
labyrinth of narrow streets opens up to stunning dark-red sandstone
havelis and some exquisite Jain temples. The desert town continues to
impress with its imposing fort and increased popularity of camel
safaris. Take a trip to massive Junagarh Fort, the 5.28 hectares
large precinct of the fort is laced with impressive palaces, exquisite
temples and pavilions. Laxmi Niwas Palace is the next highlight of the
city tour. The palace built in Indo-Saracenic style is also a luxury
hotel and thus provides an opportunity to live life King size. Also
visit the Camel Breeding Farm, an institute for research work on camels.
The research institute houses a camel museum, which is a tourist
attraction. In afternoon, leave Bikaner for Jaisalmer. On arrival,
check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. | | | | Day 5: Jaisalmer |  | Morning, take a city tour of Jaisalmer. A Golden City echoing stories of
valour and wars for honour, Jaisalmer bedazzles its visitors with its
magnificent fort and exquisite mirror work and embroidery. Crowned by
Jaisalmer Fort the city also offers lots to be seen including museums
and havelis. After breakfast, treat yourself to a visual feast as
you tour the golden city of Jaisalmer. Hewn entirely out of sandstone,
the city is a tawny colour in the day and at sunset it magically morphs
into honey-gold hue. Afternoon drive to Khuri, a quaint village with
clusters of thatch roof houses. On the sand dunes here, take a sunset
ride through the scrubland of Rajasthan on a camel safari that is a
lifetime experience. Later in the evening take an excursion to Sam - 45
kms away, which is known for its sand dunes & is the venue for the
Desert festival. Get the real feel of the desert by enjoying a camel
ride on the sand dunes. | | | | Day 6: Jaisalmer-Jodhpur |  | (Driving Time: 285kms/5.5 hrs) This
morning leave for Jodhpur. The city painted in blue, Jodhpur is the
renowned Blue City of Rajasthan. Featuring various forts, palaces and
temples in the middle of stark landscape of Thar Desert, Jodhpur paints
the region in the colour of royalty. The houses painted in blue colour
around and the vibrant bazaars add joviality to the deserted region. Afternoon
visit the Mehrangarh Fort, which literally means "Majestic Fort",
located at the very centre of the city. Close to the fort complex lies
this white marble cenotaph, built in 1899, in commemoration of Maharaja
Jaswant Singh II. At the foot of the fort, lies the "Jaswanth Thada", a
richly carved white marble cenotaph. Take an afternoon jeep safari to
the picturesque Bishnoi village to experience rustic Rajasthani life.
The drive through the countryside abounds with black bucks and chinkaras
grazing serenely and migratory birds dot the skies. Also visit the
Clock Tower - the city centre. | | | | Day 7: Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Mount Abu |  | | After breakfast leave for Udaipur. En route visit the Jain temples of
Ranakpur, famous for their intricate friezes and sculptures. (Optional -
lunch in the temple or at Maharani Bagh, Ranakpur at extra charge).
After exploring the Jain temples of Rankpur depart for Mount Abu. Laced
with tranquil lakes, rivers, waterfalls and evergreen forests, Mount
Abu is rightly called “an oasis in the desert”. On arrival in this
pristine hill station relax at the hotel surrounded by beauteous
panorama. | | | | Day 8: Mount Abu – Udaipur |  | | The day at Mount Abu begins on a spiritual note with visit first to the
Dilwara Jain temples, one of the finest examples of Jain architecture in
India. The complex includes two temples in which the art of carved
marble has excelled all the prior examples of artistry. The temples
dating back from 11th to 13th centuries are well preserved and oozes out
tranquillity. Later in the day arrive at enchanting, medieval city of
Udaipur and check-in at the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur. Laced with scenic
lakes, Udaipur is truly an oasis in the middle of desert region of
Rajasthan. Its magnificence and splendour is further enhanced with the
presence of various grand edifices reminiscent of the splendid era of
royalty. Enjoy a leisurely late afternoon cruise on the shimmering
waters of Lake Pichola. | | | | Day 9: Udaipur |  | | Let
the glorious sunrise dazzle you at breakfast. The breathtaking beauty
of the lakes- Pichola & Fateh Sagar truly makes Udaipur an oasis in
the desert. Morning excursion to the famous temple complex of Eklingji
& Nagda. Wander through the opulent City Palace grounds and the
museum. Overlooking the gorgeous Lake Pichola, City Palace complex has
several beauteous palace structures inside showcasing a blend of
Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles with picture perfect
backdrop. Visit the Jagdish temple on the shores of Lake Pichola a large
Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple situated on a raised
terrain was built in 1651 and forms a beautiful pyramidal shape. A
visit to the temple will not only be of religious experience, but will
also impress you with the architectural brilliance of the age of
royalty. In the evening, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola. | | | | Day 10: Udaipur - Chittorgarh – Pushkar |  | After
breakfast, leave Udaipur for Pushkar, en-route visit Chittorgarh. The
city known for folklores of bravery and sacrifice, Chittorgarh is where
the largest fort of India resides. While exploring the city you will
come across various interesting scenes with people in vibrant attires,
men flaunting their moustaches and women donning beautiful silver
jewellery. The most fascinating sight however is that of Chittorgarh
Fort visible virtually from all parts of the city. The fort precinct is
studded with stunning palaces, grand gates, temples and two prominent
towers. After the visit, continue the drive to Pushkar. Upon arrival,
check in at the hotel for overnight stay. Afternoon, visit the holy
city of Pushkar. | | | | Day 11 Pushkar – Jaipur |  | This morning leave for Jaipur. First take a brief moment to explore
Pushkar, one of the five sacred dhams (pilgrimage sites) of Hindus.
Perched on the banks of River Pushkar it is one of the oldest cities of
India and is laced with various temples. The cattle festival of Pushkar
is one of its kinds which have made the city a renowned tourist
destination in India. Explore the city and then proceed with your drive
to Jaipur. In the afternoon, tour the old walled city of Jaipur.
Visit the unique Jantar Mantar Observatory- an assortment of
architectural astronomical instruments. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh II
it consists of fourteen major geometric devices for measuring time and
predicting eclipses etc. Stunning City Palace will be the next
destination on this city tour. City Palace is a complex of various
palaces in Jaipur which is an erstwhile seat of Maharaja of the region. | | | | Day 12: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri – Agra |  | Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel and leave for a half-day
sightseeing tour to the hilltop fortress of Amber. A small trek up the
hill will be covered while riding an elephant in the royal manner. The
fort was built in 1592 under the reign of Raja Man Singh and was later
modified by successive rulers for next 150 years. Today the structure
stands with its beautifully carved ceilings, intricate patterns and
stunning designs. In the afternoon, leave Jaipur for Agra,
en-route visit the abandoned Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. The
monuments and edifices of Fatehpur Sikri are applauded by UNESCO for
they showcase a beauteous synthesis of various regional schools of
architecture and influences of Hindu, Jain and Islamic architectural
styles can be seen here. Explore the beautiful edifices inside which
includes Jama Masjid, the Buland Darwaza, palace of Queen Jodha Bai,
Birbal's Palace, tomb of Saint Salim Chisti inside. Continue your drive
to the city of Agra after visit to Fatehpur Sikri. | | | | Day 13 Agra -Delhi |  | | This day is spent exploring the best of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in
Agra. In afternoon, visit the ultimate emblem of love and an edifice
that has most rightly been called a World Wonder- Taj Mahal. Built by
Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Taj Mahal is a UNESCO acclaimed site and is
called “the jewel of Muslim art in India” for its beauteous design and
configuration. Later, visit the imposing structure of Agra Fort
containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of public and private audience.
Also visit, the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah a replica of Taj Mahal often
regarded as a draft of the famous mausoleum was built by Empress
Noorjehan in memory of her father. Later drive to Delhi, check in at
the hotel in Delhi. | | | | Day 14: Delhi- Departure |  | Visit the eclectic mix of modern and cosmopolitan worlds of India and
take a sightseeing tour of New Delhi. Once called Lutyens’ Delhi, the
area of New Delhi was designed by British architect, Sir Edward
Lutyens. These glorious imitations of Victorian style architecture have
always been an eye-candy for the connoisseurs of art and architecture.
Enjoy a drive past monuments of national significance such as
President’s House, Parliament House & India Gate. In the evening our representative will escort you to the airport from where you will board your flight back home. |
