Puttu, Idiyappam and Vellayappam are breakfast delicacies made from rice powder. They are usually had with Kadala curry (Chana or Chick Pea curry) and vegetarian dishes like Avial, Olan and Koottu Curry. These are very special to the state, and make abundant use of the wide variety of fresh vegetables found here, and of-course the coconut!
