Day-By-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Cochin- Munnar
Arrival at Cochin Airport. Proceed for Munnar on arrival check in a resort.  Day at leisure.

Day 2: Munnar Sightseeing
Explore Mattupetty Lake for boating (optional), Eco Point and Rajamala Wildlife Reserve in Munnar.  

Day 3: Munnar - Thekkady
Proceed to Thekkady- the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. After boat cruise in Periyar Lake visit spice plantation. Evening free for shopping.

Day 4: Thekkady- Alleppey
Proceed towards Alleppey and enjoy local sightseeing here. O/N stay in a hotel.

Day 5: Alleppey- Kovalam (Houseboat)
After breakfast, Check out from the hotel and proceed to Kovalam. Check into hotel. Day free to relax on the beach.  Overnight at Kovalam.

Day 6: Kovalam- Trivandrum- Kovalam
Proceed for half day sightseeing tour of Trivandrum. Visit Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika Museum and Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple in the region. Afternoon relax on the famous Kovalam Beach. Overnight stay at Kovalam.

Day 7: Kovalam- Departure
Depart for Airport/Railway station, for your journey homewards.

Day 1: Arrival at Cochin- Munnar
Welcome to God’s Own Country, upon arrival our ever smiling representative will greet you there at the airport lounge, later proceed to the hotel.  A short drive will then take you to the beauteous hill station of Kerala known as Munnar. Later our representative will make you familiar with your travel plan which will begin the day after.

Munnar is known for its natural beauty, calmness and mild cold climate.  Located in the south Western Ghats of India, Munnar is a charming hill station in the Idukki district of Kerala.  The land blessed with natural splendour looks dazzling with rocky peaks, rolled mountains, manicured tea gardens and soothing mountain air. 
 
Day 2: Cochin- Munnar
The day at Munnar begins with a sumptuous breakfast and will be followed by a sightseeing tour of the picturesque environs.  Essentially a tea town, Munnar catches the visitor’s attention with its refreshing aroma first and then continues to impress with its beauty and placidity.  The sightseeing plan for the day includes visit to pristine Mattupetty Lake and neighbouring Swiss Livestock Project, a specialized dairy farm where about 100 varieties of high yielding cattle are reared.  At the lake one gets the option of enjoying a boat ride and can also explore the nearby Eco Point.

Also visit the breathtaking scenery of lush mountains of Eravikulam National Park. The park is a natural habitat to estimate half the world population of Nilgiri Tahr along with other ungulates such as Indian Muntjac and Sambar Deer. Other inhabitants of the park are Golden Jackal, Jungle Cat, Leopard, Tiger, Dhole and more.  The region is worth paying a visit for both its enchanting flora and fauna.
 
Day 3: Munnar – Thekkady
Post breakfast check out and drive to Thekkady.  Set on a jungle safari inside Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary situated on the banks of the Periyar Lake. The sanctuary is one of the biggest natural reserves in India which covers about 777 km squares.  Home to myriad wild creatures this protected area lies in the middle of mountainous region of Cardamom Hills and is cradled with picturesque Periyar Lake.  Animals such as elephant, sambar, gaur and wild boars and beauteous bird populations such as darters, cormorants, kingfishers and racket tailed Drongos have made the park their home.  Spot these animals coming to the banks of Periyar Lake to quench their thirst while you sail on a boat in the pristine lake. Also, visit a spice plantation in the vicinity later and return to the hotel for night stay.

Take a stroll around the local markets to pick souvenirs before you return to your hotel in the evening.
 
Day 4: Thekkady- Alleppey
On this day you will proceed towards Alleppey, the beauteous land where most of backwaters action takes place.  Indulge in a leisurely stroll around the lush foliage of the region or walk around backwaters for a soothing experience before you head back to the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.
 
Day 5: Alleppey- Kovalam
This internationally renowned beach town is a favourite haunt of tourists looking to spend laid-back vacations amidst beauteous environs. A former favourite jaunt of hippies, this tropical beach town is known for its picture perfect looks, traditional fishing villages providing a refreshing India tour experience.  Day at Kovalam will be free for trying some recreational activities on the beach or at the hotel.
 
Day 6: Kovalam- Trivandrum- Kovalam
The unpretentious capital city of Kerala, Trivandrum is situated on seven hills.  The city has a lot to offer to wandering souls and this day will be spent in exploring the little treasures that it preserves. Proceed for half day sightseeing tour of Trivandrum today.  On the city sightseeing tour first visit a 19th century museum, Napier Museum; the museum within its Indo-Saracenic structure houses rare collection of historic artifacts including ancient ornaments, temple chariot and ivory carvings.  Also visit Kuthiramalika Museum and Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple in the region. Dedicated to lord Vishnu the temple looks beautiful with its stunning blend of Kerala and Dravidian styles of architecture. After an eventful day relax on the beach of Kovalam for a perfect closure to the day.
 
Day 7: Kovalam- Departure
Later in the evening our representative will arrange for your comfortable departure transfers to Airport from where you will board your flight back home.
