Joshimath is described in the ancient scriptures as Kartikeyapura, because the Katyurikings named it after their God, Kartikeya. His place is also known as Jyotirmath. Joshimath is one of the four great math or monasteries his place Joshimath, located at a height of about 6,000 ft, is one of the four great maths ormonasteries. A popular center of pilgrimage. It is the base for trekking to the famous Valley of Flowers. The season here is short lived: it starts from mid-July and lasts till end-August.

Joshimath is close to Nanda Devi 7816 mts the highest peak completely in India. Also Joshimath is 15 kms from AULI skiing resort.

The Camp Joshimath:
Tented Camp in the sylvan surrounding of nature has been plotted very close to the Reversed shrine mostly within the striking distance of less than 30 kms to make it morning/evening return affair.

Accommodation with attached bath would be provided in large deluxe camps, innovate crafted, using traditional skills, crafts, materials and colors in keeping with the spiritual theme of the Pilgrimage.

The campsite will consist of two blocks, namely the Accommodation and dining block and other one the activity block.

Accommodation Block:

Accommodation tents - with attached modern toilets, hot and cold water and electricity.

Reception tent - Facilitation & provisions of safe.

Medical dispensary - well equipped with first aid facilities, doctor and nurse on call.

Dining Tents - for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Vegetarian - Indian, Gujarati, Marathi, south Indian and Continental.

Activity blocks:

Yoga - daily classes would be conducted everyday.
Ayurvedic massage - expert masseurs and herbal oil treatment doctors would be
available at the camp.
