Amboseli
One of the most popular parks in Kenya, Amboseli is situated in Rift Valley Province.  The literal meaning of Amboseli is salty dust which refers to volcanic ash that came from eruptions in Mount Kilimanjaro thousands of years ago.  The park is at par with the fascinating Masai Mara National Park in terms of its popularity and people visit it mainly to see herds of gigantic African Elephants grazing in lush jungles with backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

The park is a significant ground for Masai culture, here Kenya Wildlife Community Service works closely along with local leaders to promote and develop eco-tourism in the region.  There are bountiful of options for game viewing and walking safaris at the ranch areas situated outside the park.  This development in eco-tourism in the region benefits the indigenous communities in the region.
