Aberdare
Aberdare Range is a 160 km long mountain range of upland with an average elevation of 3,500 meters.  An Aberdare Safari is for true explorers who will be dazzled to discover a mix of varied topographical features.  In the same region you will come across moorland lying close to ice-cold streams and lush thicket. Popularly known as the ‘Scotland with Lions’ Aberdare is home to most Kenya’s wildlife.  Mighty hills draped with lush greenery attract large numbers of climbers and hikers operating mainly out of Naivasha and Gilgil.  The higher regions here are well-known for their diverse wildlife making Aberdare holidays a must for wildlife-enthusiasts and even those fond of adventurous activities or possess a passion for photography.

Aberdare National Park: Covering the higher areas of Aberdare Mountains, Aberdare National Park is stretched on a vast landscape and covers a variety of terrains including mighty peaks to v-shaped valleys, moorland, rainforests and bamboo forests with meandering rivers, rivulets and waterfalls.  Aberdare holidays are all about jungle safaris and the entire region offers much action than world of fiction.  Animals easily observed in the region includes the Big Cats- Lions, Leopards and other such as African Elephant, Bushbuck, Reedbuck, Suni, Giant Forest Hog, Colobus Monkey and more.  Then there is a set of other species seen less frequently which includes Golden Cat and Bongo.  The region is well-known for housing a large population of black rhinos too.
