Enjoy
a Ropeway ride to the second highest peak of Mussoorie. It can
also be negotiated by bridle path which forks-off from Mall
Road near Kutchery. A climb takes about twenty minutes. The
Ropeway distance is 400 mtr. The sheer thrill of the ride is
memorable.
Gun
Hill offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges
namely Bunderpunch, Srikantha, Pithwara and Gangotri Group,
offering bird's-eye view of Mussoorie town and Doon Valley. During
pre-independence days a gun mounted on this top used to be fired
heralding mid-day to enable people to adjust their watches and
hence this name.
Kempty Fall

km. from Mussoorie on the Yamunotri Road having an altitude
of 4500 ft. It has the distinction of being the biggest and
prettiest waterfall located in a beautiful valley and is surrounded
by high mountains. Bath at the foot of the falls is refreshing
and enjoyable for children and adults alike. Municipal
Garden
A
picnic spot having a beautiful garden and an artificial mini
lake with boating facilities. It is located at a distance of
4 km. by cycle rickshaw, pony or by car and only 2 km. on foot
via Waverly Convent Road.

Highest
peak of Mussoorie near Lal Tibba. It is about 5 km. from the
Tourist Office and one can go on horse back or on foot. Snow
view from this spot is exhilarating.

Airport is the nearest air strip, about 60 km from Mussoorie.

Roadways
To search Mussoorie,
first you have to come to Dehradun, provided you are not coming
from the hilly regions of Garhwal etc. Mussoorie is about 300
km from Delhi. Therefore, the first step is to cover Delhi-Dehradun

Bus
: State Government Roadways run frequent buses from Dehradun's
Mussoorie Bus Stand to the Library and Picture Palace points
in Mussoorie. One has the option of taking a bus from Delhi
itself from its Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT)

three bus stands - Library Bus Stand, Masonic lodge, Tehri Bus

Best Time To Visit
The peak tourist season is in summer from May till July. But the town tends to get overcrowded at this time and mid-season, around October- November, are great for a visit. Bring woolens, rain protection and walking shoes.

The
main shopping centers in the city are Gandhi Chowk, the Mall,
Kulri Bazaar and Landour Bazaar.
Walking sticks,
hand knitted cardigans and sweaters along with antique and other
