Khajuraho Dance Festival takes place in between 25th Feb- 2nd March every year in the open-air auditorium in front of the Chitragupta Temple and Vishwanath Temple.  The weeklong festival is when classical dance and music maestros from across India display their art amidst dream-like setting of splendid illuminated temples. The festival organized by Madhya Pradesh Kala Parishad takes place in a splendid setting with the backdrop of magnificently lit Khajuraho temples. 

Connoisseurs of art are drawn towards the festival with a desire to be mesmerized by the exquisite art of maestros of classical forms of Indian music and dance.  Every year the time brings the perfect harmony of divine and earthly the pure magic of rich Indian dance forms spread their grace and charm.  Most eminent artists of the country participate in this event when classical dance forms such as Bharatnatyam, Mohniattam, Odissi, Kathak and Kuchipudi.
