Day-By-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Christchurch
On arrival you will be welcomed by our representative at the airport and he will then escort you to your pre-booked hotel in the city of Christchurch.

Day 2: Christchurch
Proceed for Christchurch sightseeing tour and see  Botanic Gardens, Mona Vale, Christchurch Art Center and so on.

Day 3: Christchurch- Greymouth- Franz Josef
Proceed to Christchurch Railway Station to board the train to Greymouth. On arrival depart for Franz Josef and travel through the town of Hokitika. Explore Franz Josef Glacier and check into your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4: Franz Josef- Queenstown
Depart for Queenstown by coach and en-route visit Mt Aspiring National Park.  On arrival at Queenstown check in the hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 5: Milford Sound Cruise
Travel through Heritage Fiordland National Park, Eglinton Valley and the Homer Tunnel gateway to reach Milford Sound.  Join a cruise to see dolphins and penguins. Return to hotel in Queenstown for overnight stay.

Day 6: Queenstown
Depart hotel for Queenstown City sightseeing and explore views of Lake Wakatipu, Bungy Jump site, and Gibbston Valley Winery & Tasting, and Arrowtown.

Day 7: Queenstown- Rotorua
Reach Queenstown Airport for your flight to Rotorua.  On arrival check into a hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8: Rotorua
Enjoy Rotorua sightseeing tour and visit Te Puia (formerly called Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, the Maori Arts & Craft Institute), Rainbow Springs, Agrodome for sheepshow.

Day 9: Rotorua- Waitomo- Auckland
Depart hotel for Waitomo and visit the world famous glowworm caves. Continue to Auckland to arrive at your hotel.

Day 10: Auckland- Departure
Proceed to Auckland International Airport to board your flight back home.

Day 1: Arrival at Christchurch
Arrive at Christchurch International Airport where you will be greeted by our representative who will then escort you to your previously booked hotel for overnight stay.

The third largest city of New Zealand, Christchurch still hasn't recovered from its English past and various relics of the English Anglican settlers can be seen in the city even now. Even the names of the streets and rivers sings the saga of the city's English ancestry.  Popularly known as “The Garden City” Christchurch flaunts many beautiful gardens visible as you drive around the city. As you arrive simply slip into the bed at your hotel room for a comfortable sleep to prepare you for an eventful journey ahead.
 
Day 2: Christchurch
Your sightseeing tour in this beautiful city begins today post breakfast.  Begin the day with a visit to the lovely Botanical Gardens to see exotic and indigenous plants and trees around the pictorial Avon River. Also visit Mona Vale and Christchurch Art Center to explore the impressive art scene in the city. Rest of the day will be free for leisurely activities.
 
Day 3: Christchurch- Greymouth- Franz Josef
You will be picked up from the hotel to be transferred to Christchurch Railway Station from where you will board your train to Greymouth. The journey will take you past numerous picturesque scenes. On arrival you will be taken through Hokitika, a place a valued greenstone used by Maori tribes for making tools and ornaments in the erstwhile era.

The renowned Franz Josef Glacier is the main highlight of your visit to Franz Josef; the glacier is one of the two rivers of ice that extend from the mountains almost to the sea. The Franz Josef Glacier are originated by Southern Alps and it has been proved that since the ice age, this glacier has retreated and advanced several times and it has again started advancing in the current times.  Explore the region to have a closer look of the glacier before you check into your hotel for a good night's sleep.
 
Day 4: Franz Josef- Queenstown
Depart for Queenstown today and travel past Haast; thereafter the journey will continue through to Mt Aspiring National Park to have spectacular glimpses of waterfalls to the picturesque township of Wanaka.

Queenstown is the South Island’s most popular alpine Resort perched around the shores of Lake Wakatipu.  Here you can take time out to enjoy scenic views and tranquility, go for nature walks, golf courses, or take a sightseeing tour to Arrowtown then visit the Chinese Miners village where some of the dwellings have been carefully preserved.
 
Day 5: Milford Sound Cruise
Travel through the world famous Heritage Fiordland National Park to see majestic mountain scenery, through Eglinton Valley and the Homer Tunnel gateway to finally reach Milford Sound.  Here board a cruise to see spectacular waterfalls and  if you are lucky enough you may see seals, dolphins and penguins. In the afternoon return to the hotel in Queenstown.
 
Day 6: Queenstown
Depart for Queenstown City sightseeing today and visit the spectacular view of Lake Wakatipu, enjoy the optional Bungy Jumping at Bungy Jump Site, and Gibbston Valley Winery & Tasting to have that exclusive experience of wine tasting, and Arrowtown. 
 
Day 7: Queenstown- Rotorua
Escorted by our representative you will reach Queenstown Airport for your flight to Rotorua.  On arrival in Rotorua you will be transferred to your accommodation. It is the place habitat of the Te Aroha tribe of Maoris, who resided on the edge of Lake Rotorua after the Great Migration from Hawaiiki.  Rotorua is considered the hub of Maori culture in New Zealand and you can see several carved maori villages as you walk around the region. 
 
Day 8: Rotorua
This morning pay a visit to Te Puia (formerly called Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, the Maori Arts & Craft Institute); Rotorua is the center of thermal activity since ages and one can see many naturally occurring steamholes in the entire region. At Te Puja one can see preserved forms of ancient arts of carving, spinning and weaving. The Pohutu Geyser here is the largest geyser which makes for a stunning sight. Also explore gorgeous Rainbow Springs and see sheepshow at Agrodome.
 
Day 9: Rotorua- Waitomo- Auckland
Today you will depart hotel for Waitomo and visit the world famous glowworm caves. Here be prepared for a mesmerizing sight as you glide silently on an underground river flowing smoothly beneath a canopy of twinkling glowworm lights. These caves are known world-wide for their stunning limestone formations.  Thereafter continue to Auckland and on arrival check into your hotel for overnight stay.
 
Day 10: Auckland- Departure
Post breakfast escorted by our representative you will reach Auckland International Airport from where you will board your flight back home.

Document Requirements

Before lodging your visa applications please ensure that you have   included all the documentation as mentioned on the checklist below. It   is important that you provide all the relevant information requested   below so we can accept and process your application promptly. 
 
All   documents submitted in support of an application must be originals, or   certified copies. Certified copies must be stamped or endorsed as being   true copies of the originals by a person authorised by law to take   statutory declarations. All documents not in English must be translated   by a translation service.

Application forms can be downloaded and other relevant information may be found on our website www.immigration.govt.nz.

Submission of Application

TT Services collect visa applications on behalf of Immigration New   Zealand New Delhi Branch, hence all applications / documents should be   sent directly to TT Services. Contact details of TT Services collection   centres across India is given on the last page.

APPLICATION FORM:

An “Application for Visiting New Zealand” and the supplementary   visitor information form must be fully completed in English.  Answer   each question on the form and continue that question on a separate sheet   if necessary.

APPLICATION FEE:

You have a choice of paying either in Indian Rupees or in US Dollars. The details for each are given below:
The   current application fee is Indian Rupees INR 4,200. We do not accept   CASH, credit cards or have EFTPOS The fee must be paid by bank draft   drawn at any bank in “New Delhi” and drawn in the name of “Immigration New Zealand”. We do not accept drafts payable to New Zealand High Commission or Embassy.
OR
The current application fee in US dollars is US$ 85.00. Please note the fee must be paid by bank draft in US dollars only drawn on any bank in “USA” and made payable to the Immigration New Zealand”.  We do not accept drafts payable to New Zealand High Commission or Embassy.

One recent passport sized photo (less than 6 months old) of each   person included in the application must be attached to the application   form.

If the photo provided is older than 6months, you will be requested to   provide a recent photo and this can result in delays in the processing   of the application.
 
PASSPORT OR TRAVEL DOCUMENT:

Passports must be valid for 3 months beyond intended date of departure from New Zealand.
All the applicants are required to provide a photocopy of first & last page of their passports.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT WHILE VISITING NEW ZEALAND:

Either, evidence of funds to support yourself which must be a minimum of NZ$1,000.00 per month of stay.  This can be in the form of bank records, copy of   available credit card or other forms of financial background.

OR

“Sponsoring Form” for visiting, completed by your sponsor in New   Zealand, along with evidence your sponsor has supplied of their ability   to support you while you are in New Zealand. The Sponsoring Form should   be submitted in original.
However, nothing prevents a visa officer   from asking for additional financial documents from an applicant to   arrive at a fair decision on an application.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORTING INFORMATION:

If travelling on business or attending a conference, evidence of   business dealings or business contacts in New Zealand such as   invitations or correspondence with New Zealand business parties must be   provided. This information is not required if you have travelled   previously to New Zealand on business.
To enable us to make an   informed decision, please provide any additional information which   proves you will be a genuine short-term visitor to New Zealand, and   shows you have incentive to return to your home country after visiting   New Zealand such as: 

  • A letter of leave from your employer. Letters from an employer   should include annual income (including bonus), length of employment and   position held.  Also, it must be on company letterhead, bearing the   stamp of the company and the signature of the head of the company or the   authorised person of the personnel department.  If you are   self-employed, business or company registration certificate showing   proof of ownership and company bank statements must be submitted. 
  • Personal Bank statement for the last six months. If there are   large cash deposits in the account, you must provide documentary   evidence of source of these funds. 
  • Evidence of any previous overseas travel i.e. clear copy of visas on passport. 
  • Your travel/flight bookings/itinerary/tickets if applying for a Limited Purpose Visa or Transit visa. 
  • Completed supplementary information sheet (page 4 of this check-list).  
X-RAY FOR TUBERCULOSIS SCREENING IF YOUR INTENDED STAY IN NEW ZEALAND IS FOR MORE THAN 6 MONTHS.

Applicants for temporary entry to New Zealand must have an acceptable   standard of health, unless they have been issued or granted a visitor’s   visa for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment or have been   granted a medical waiver.           
 
As of 15th November 2004, all applicants, from a high incidence TB country, intending to be in New Zealand for more than 6 months have to undergo TB screening and provide a certificate & x-ray of chest issued by a panel doctor. People who have spent a combined total of 3 months or more (in the   five years before the application) in any high incidence TB country will   also need to be tested for TB.

Pregnant women and children below the age of 11 years are not required to have a chest x-ray.

From 2 March 2009, all general e-mail and telephone queries to the   New Delhi Branch will be received by the Contact Centre staff who will   reply to all general queries related to visa applications. Telephone   enquiries will be answered from 9.00am to 3.00pm from Monday to Friday.   All e-mail queries will be responded to within 48 hours.

Note: All passports are returned by registered mail or courier, unless   other arrangements are made by the applicant. Passports are sent by   courier within India, only at places, where courier service is   available. You will need to indicate collection details on your   application form.  

Notes

  • Further, any change in fees, additional document or personal   presence of the applicant might be required which is on the discretion   of the embassy. 
  • The New Delhi Branch has appointed TT Services as a collection   agent for visa applications with effect from 4 February 2004. TT   Services will collect applications, passports and all other related   documents on behalf of the New Zealand Immigration Service 
  • Pregnant women and children under the age of 11 years are not   required to submit X-ray certificates unless a special report is   required. 
  • Immigration New Zealand will only accept medical certificates   completed by an Immigration New Zealand Panel Doctor. Please note that   reports or certificates from a doctor not on the Immigration New Zealand   list of panel doctors is not acceptable. 
  • There are no additional charges for the return of documents.   Documents are usually returned by courier or speed post, and in areas   where there is no courier or speed post service, by registered mail. 
  • All passports are returned by registered mail or courier, unless   other arrangements are made by the applicant. Passports are sent by   courier within India, only at places, where courier service is available
