Cauvery Fishing Camp, Bheemeshwari Mysore.

Nestled on the banks of the mighty Cauvery River is the Bheemeshwari Fishing Camp. An angler's paradise, anglers come here in search of their prize catch - a "Mahseer", the finest game fish in the world. If fishing is not your cup of tea, nature will offer a respite.

Location:

# Bheemeshwari is 100 km from Bangalore via Kanakapura / Halagur. It is 85 km from Mysore via Malavalli. It is 245 km from Ooty (Udhagamandalam) via Mysore.

# Bangalore is the nearest airport.

ACCOMMODATION:

Log Hut , In keeping with eco tourism philosophy, the Camp, overlooking the River Cauvery consists of just eight luxurious ethnic log-huts on stilts, blending beautifully with the jungle behind.

 

Tent , On the riverbank are also nine well-furnished tented cottages (twin-bedded with attached bathrooms) for those who prefer a more closer-to-nature experience.

Sit back under a gazebo & tuck into a buffet lunch or dinner as you savor the view

Activities :

Catch & Release , The most important activity here is the "Catch & Release" method of Mahseer fishing or angling. Even if you are not an expert, try your hand at fishing guided by our staff.

Coracle rides , Float down the meandering river on a coracle; indulge in some fishing for fun or bird watching. Watch out for the crocodiles.

Trekking , With the assistance of our courteous and knowledgeable staff, you can trek through thick forest and scale a series of hilltops. If you are not too eager on a long trek, do some short nature walks instead.
