Day-By-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Srinagar

On arrival at Srinagar transfer to Deluxe Houseboat. Overnight at houseboat.

Day 2: Srinagar- Sonmarg- Baltal

Drive to Sonmarg. Lunch at sonmarg continue drive towards Baltal. Overnight in tents.

Day 3: Baltal- Panchtarni – Amarnath Cave – Panchtarni – Baltal – Srinagar

Leave for Amarnath holy cave. From Amarnath steep descend towards Baltal 4hrs walk. O/N at Srinagar.

Day 4: Srinagar- Departure

Morning is free for leisure activities. Our representative will escort you to the Airport in the afternoon from where you will board the flight back home.

Day 1: Arrive at Srinagar

Upon your arrival at the airport, meet our representative awaiting just outside the arrival hall, past the customs area & currency shops. Our representative will then escort you to a Deluxe houseboat for a peaceful experience in Srinagar. Your slumbering houseboat cruises on placid lake and the panorama around is that of fabulous Mughal gardens and gorgeous wooden settlements blending perfectly with the view. Relax for an entire day on a wooden houseboat to catch rare glimpses of scenic Srinagar.

Day 2: At Srinagar

The capital city of Jammu & Kashmir, Srinagar is blessed with blissful beauty which charmed legendary Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as well. In his famous words the region is described as the “Ultimate Paradise on Earth”. Stroll in the 17th century Mughal gardens in Srinagar under one clear sky in the region. Disembark the houseboat on and set on a sightseeing tour of the verdant environs. The picture perfect Shalimar Bagh (garden of love) and Nishat Bagh (garden of pleasure) are perched on the banks of beauteous Dal Lake and is surrounded by verdant valleys. Built by Mughal emperors the parks are laid with broad cascade of terraces, avenues of trees of chinar and cypress which are elaborately complimented with small ponds and exquisite Mughal architecture fountains. Long walk ways are shaded with parallel lanes of lush trees creating a very soothing ambiance throughout.

Celebrate Nature’s bounty further with a quaint and soothing Shikara ride on crystal clear waters of Dal Lake. Experience intimacy with Mother Nature as your Shikara glides slowly into the night.

Day 3: Srinagar-Sonmarg- Baltal

(Driving Time: 3.5hrs)
Wake up to the chirping of birds on this day and disembark the Shikara. Up next is a drive to Sonmarg (2690 m) and the route is considered the most beautiful drive from Srinagar for the region is draped in emerald hues and pampers its visitors with breathtaking views of the valley. Halt at Sonmarg for lunch will be followed by drive towards Baltal where you will be accommodated in tented accommodation.

Day 4: Baltal – Panchtarni – Amarnath Cave – Panchtarni – Baltal – Srinagar

(Driving Time: 3.5hrs & 4 Kms trek each way)
The fourth day of the itinerary will begin a pilgrimage tour to Amarnath Caves. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the holy shrine of Hindus is believed to be about 5,000 years old and is renowned for housing an ice Shiva Lingam an iconic representation of God Shiva). According to Hindu mythology, it was here that Shiva revealed secrets of life and eternity to his wife Goddess Parvati; thus a visit to the caves is believed to be capable of rendering the path of nirvana to the pilgrims. The cave situated on an altitude of 3,888m is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. This holy cave is visited by thousands of Hindu pilgrims on the full moon. From Amarnath after catching the glimpse of the lord take a steep descend towards Baltal. The 4 hrs of trek will end at Baltal. O/N at Srinagar.

Day 5: Srinagar- Departure
