1 Fly Delhi-Leh
Fly
from Delhi to Leh. Transfer to Hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Evening
visit Leh Bazar and Leh palace.
DAY
2 At Leh
Morning
visit Spituk and Phyang monasteries. Lunch at Hotel. Afternoon
visit Stok Palace and S.O.S. village.
DAY 3 At Leh
Drive
to Hemis visiting enroute Shey Palace, Thiksey monastery. Shey
palace was built in 1645 by Deldan Namgyal as a summer residence
for the kings of Ladakh. It is the oldest palace in Ladakh. Thikse
Gompa is the most picturesquely situated in Ladakh. Its buildings
are arranged at various levels, leading up to the private apartments
of the incarnate lamas. From here one has a magnificent view of
the valley. Hemis Gompa is one of the most important in Ladakh,
the largest and also the wealthiest. It was built in 1620 by the
king-architect Singe Namgyal, a great patron of Buddhism. Hemis
is the location for numerous religious festivals throughout the
year.

4 On trek
Sight
seeing of Stok royal palace museum. On trek from Stok to the base
of
Stok La on full board basis with portage of personal baggage upto
15 kgs. O/n in tents.
Day 5 On trek
On
trek from Stok La at 4,900 m to Rumbak. O/n in tents.
Day
6 On trek
On
trek from Rumbak to Spituk. Drive to Leh. O/n at hotel.
Day
7 Around Leh
Day
trip to Alchi monastery with packed lunch. O/n at hotel.
Day 8 Drive to Khardung La
Depart
for day trip to Khardung La at 18,300 feet which is the highest
motorable pass in the world. O/n at Leh hotel.
Day 9 At Leh
Days
rafting trip on the Indus from Pheyang to Nimu ( grade III ) .
Drive back to Leh. O/n at Leh.
Day
10 Fly to Delhi
Early
morning transfer to Leh airport for flight to Delhi.
