The Indian Maharaja has 21 coaches of which 11 are passenger cars. There are two Presidential Suites with a bedroom, living room, personal washrooms and much more. Each passenger car has 4 compartments or cabins having area around 9 sq m. The cabins are well furnished with wall-to-wall carpeting, wardrobe, safe, attached toilets, shower, running hot and cold water, channel music and much more. You can choose from king-sized (1.52m x 2.08m) or twin beds (.86m x 2.08m).
The service is highly personalized. The cabins are attended by individual butlers who take care of your every need and available at your disposal round the clock.
Fine dining is a highlight of every lap of your journey. Indian and Continental dishes prepared with finest ingredients whipped up by the experienced chefs will surely put you on a pedestal. The passenger cars have so designed that there are ample areas to socialize, read, rejuvenate and work out your muscles. Relive the royal life, fit for the emperors of the yore, with Indian Maharaja. The weeklong sojourn is full of fun, adventure and opulence. Here is the brief description of the facilities offered onboard the Indian Maharaja Luxury train.
Accommodation The Indian Maharaja has 21 coaches out of which 11 are passenger cars each having 4 luxurious coupes. Two coaches are for Presidential suites having 2 coupes each. The deluxe cabins have 95 sq ft (9 sq m) area with wall to wall carpeting, channel music, CD and MP3 players, attached toilets, intercom, shower, running hot and cold water taps and other amenities.
Dining Mouth watering Indian and Continental delicacies are served in two restaurant cars in the Indian Maharaja. The trained chefs whip up a wide range of Indian, Goan, Chinese, Maharashtrian, Rasajthani and Continental cuisine. The high standard service is delivered by India's one of the most prestigious hotel chains - the Taj Group.
Bar The well stocked bar has a good collection of wines and spirits to keep in high spirits. A complimentary bottle of wine is also offered to the guests in cabins.
Health The guest can work out in state-of-the-art gymnasium and rejuvenate their senses with Ayurvedic massages and hot steam bath.
Conference There's a separate conference car which can accommodate as many as 50 guests. With high-end facilities, the experience of onboard conferencing is just out of the world.

- You'll first visit Old Delhi visiting Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid, and Red Fort. Also visit Qutub Minar, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and India Gate
- Board the Train in the evening. Train leaves at 19:30 hrs. Dinner and Overnight onboard the train departs for Agra.

- Visit the complex and palaces at Fatehpur Sikri which are in near perfect condition even after 200 years of their construction
- Later, drive to Agra to visit Taj Mahal, one of the great wonders of the world. Also visit Agra fort.
- All meals onboard. Overnight in the train which leaves for Jaipur

- En-route, visit Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds an elaborate faade from which the queens of yore would watch the daily goings on the streets below.
- Post lunch, visit the city of Jaipur including City Palace Complex and wander through its gardens, courtyards, ornate doorways, Jantar Mantar as well as the local markets.
- All meals onboard
- The Maharaja leaves for Bharatpur

- The group is taken to the National Park for a Jungle Safari

- Stay overnight onboard the train which winds its way to Jaipur
| | | | Day 5: Udaipur |  | - The train arrives at Udaipur. Breakfast onboard the train
- Drive for sightseeing the beautiful city of Udaipur
- Visit the sprawling, fortified City Palace, the Tripolia, The Balcony of the Sun, and the Crystal Gallery
- Also visit Sahelion-ki-Bari, which has numerous fountains in four pools, and Jagdish Temple
- In the evening take a boat ride on Lake Pichola visiting Jag Mandir Palace
- Dinner at a city hotel
- Board the Maharaja to proceed to next halt - Sawai Madhopur

- Visit Teen Darwaza built by Sultan Ahmed, Jama Masjid, Shaking Minarets and Jain Temple.
- Lunch and dinner onboard the Train
- The train leaves for Jalgaon
| | | | Day 7: Aurangabad |  | - Maharaja arrives at Jalgaon early morning
- After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Ajanta caves, a remarkable world heritage site
- Drive to Aurangabad for a lunch at city hotel. The group is taken for sightseeing Aurangabad.
- Visit Bibi-ka-maqbara, and Panchakki
- Drive to Daulatabad for visiting Ellora caves, another marvelous world heritage site
- Board the train. Dinner and overnight onboard the Indian Maharaja
