Overview

The 63-hotel strong Ritz Carlton luxury hospitality chain has partnered with realty company Nitesh Estates to set up its hotel in Bangalore.

Spread across a 3-acre plot, the 250-room five-star luxury hotel will be set up in the central business district of the Indian Silicon Valley. While Nitesh Estates will build the world-class hotel, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company will play the management role.

The hotel is expected to start receiving guests sometime in 2010.

Placed on a par with global luxury hotel brands like Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental and St Regis, when operational, The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore, will most likely have to compete with the likes of Shangri-la, Sheraton, JW Marriott, Hyatt besides our very own Indian luxury hotel brand — The Leela Palace Kempinski.

Nitesh Estates also has a joint venture with Ritz Carlton to bid for a hotel project in Kolkata. The joint bid is to develop the Royal Calcutta Turf Club's four-acre property on Russell Street into a five-star hotel.
