One of the favourite picnic spots in South India, Palaruvi lies at about 75 kms from Kollam in Kerala. One of the quaintest waterfall Palaruvi literally means stream of milk. The most thrilling part about this famous waterfall is its height, it falls from a height of 300 feet. The waterfall in between the greenery of Western Ghats and the dense forest makes its view all the more stunning. One can even have a glimpse at the ruins of the palaces made by Travancore Rajas in ancient time. The ideal time to visit Palaruvi is from June to January.
