Day 1: Sunday- New Delhi
The joyous journey begins from Safardjung Railway station. Board the Maharajas' express, taking a sip of your welcome drink. Enjoy the delicious breakfast in the morning. As the train reaches the city of Agra, make a visit to Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We also visit the Diwan-e-aam, Taj Khema and royal pavilions like the Shah Jahani Mahal. Take lunch in the kingly ambiance. Head towards Taj Mahal, where rocks start melting and clouds start showering love. After spending time in shopping, rejoin the train and continue the journey
Dinner and Overnight on board.
 
Day 2: Monday- Gwalior

The breathtaking views of Gwalior awaits your arrival this morning. The city never fails to impress the visitors reaching here in large number. Catch the sights of ancient temples and ruined palaces like the Man Mandir Palace, Gujari Mahal, Sas Bahu Ka Mandir and Suraj Kund. After taking sumptuous lunch at Usha Kiran Palace, which has now been converted into a heritage hotel, pay a visit to Jai Vilas Palace and Scindia Museum where collection of handicrafts amaze the spectators. After tasting cocktails in Usha Kiran Palace, head back to board the train. Dinner and Overnight on board.

 
Day 3: Tuesday- Khajuraho
Have a leisurely breakfast to go for an exciting expedition to Khajuraho. The erotic sculptures and romantically dancing figures may cast a magical spell on you. The reflection of Indo-Aryan architecture can be seen in the intricately carved temples of Khajuraho. The sensuous engraved walls provoke the hidden desires of love. Visit the Kandariya Mahadev Temple and the Chaunsath Yogini Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Give a farewell to the city and board the train. Return back to the train.
 
Day 4: Wednesday - Umaria (Bandhavgarh)
The train arrives in Umaria early morning. We go for an adventurous outing in Bandhavgarh National Park. The rich fauna found in the   park include the species of deers, langurs, sloth bears and exotic birds. After a tasteful brunch, head towards the train.
 
Day 5: Thursday- Varanasi
Today you open your eyes in Varanasi, a downright sacrosanct city. The multicolored markets crowded with horde of tourists and people performing traditional rituals and taking holy dip in the river of Ganges can be seen in the city of Varanasi. Post lunch visit to the ruins, stupa and the Ashoka Pilla. Rejoin the train at the end of the day.
Dinner and Overnight on board.
 
Day 6: Friday- Gaya
The train reaches at the cultural city of Gaya with the day break. After a scrumptious breakfast, proceed to Nalanda. After lunch in afternoon, drive to Bodh Gaya. Here you come to know about the history of Buddha, the originator of Buddhism. Descry the complex of Bodhi Temple, a marvelous construction of King Ashoka. Return back to Gaya and rejoin the train.
 
Day 7: Saturday- Disembark in Kolkata
Today we explore ‘The City of Joy’, Kolkata where you will bid farewell to the Maharajas' express. After a sumptuous lunch, return back to your original hearth, carrying pleasant memories of the tour.
