Qatar National Hotels Company (QNH), the leaders in Qatar's hospitality industry, has announced plans for its 1.5 billion QR development in the Marina District at Lusail City. The twin towers will open in the largest and most innovative development of Lusail by the end of 2010.
The two 45 story futuristic design of the Lusail Twin Towers will include 2 floors dedicated to a shopping mall consisting of restaurants, a variety of luxurious shops, and a cinema covering an area of 31,000 square meters. The first of the twin towers offers a hotel of 720 king and twin rooms, 98 junior suites, 16 executive suites with an executive lounge and will feature a specialty restaurant. The second tower encompasses hotel serviced apartments with 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments overlooking the sea and a penthouse on the top floor.
About Lusail City
Lusail City is the newest city in Qatar, located on the coast, in the northern part of the municipality of Umm Salal. The city will be located about 15 km north of the city centre of Doha, just north of the West Bay Lagoon, on over 35 km² and eventually provide accommodation for up to 200,000 people. This new development undertaken by Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company will will include a blue-water lagoon with two marinas, major residential areas, island resorts, commercial districts, luxury shopping, mosques, parks, schools and leisure facilities, including two golf courses and an entertainment district. It will be built in phases with the whole project slated for completion by 2010. One of the first projects to be completed will be Fox Hill.
