Lake Town is a small locality situated towards the north of Kolkata city. The region has no tourist attractions as such but like the rest of the regions of the city there are crowded appartments, shops, schools, hospitals and more. The region is about eight kilometres from the city center. One can access the place either from the northern side by taking the Jessore Road or taking the Nazrul Islam Avenue on the southern end. The adjoining regions of Lake Town include Dakshindanri, Bangur Avenue and Salt Lake.
