The resort built in 2.49 acres is situated close to the beach, and was built almost ten years back by the Department of Tourism with a view to enhance the tourism potentials of the region. Now its been taken over by The Renaissance Cochin, The flagship property of Polakkulathu Group of hotels. This one of the few resorts in Kerala that enjoys such good proximity of the sea. Rooms
The resort located right on the beach and has 4 separate cottages which houses 16 well-appointed guest rooms with all modern facilities. Each cottage has four rooms; two on the ground floor and two on the first floor. All rooms have balconies, which gives you the perfect opportunity to explore pristine sandy stretches that entice you to come and rejuvenate yourself, breathe in the fresh, clean and cool air and bask in the warm and smiling sun. However the first floor rooms offer a better panoramic view of the beach and the ocean. The ground floor rooms are called SEA FACING and first floor rooms BEACH FACING.
Every room at Kappad is spacious and open, allowing the cool sea breezes to flow. Time spent relaxing in the balcony is always well rewarded by sightings of variety of birds, fishermen folks rushing back to the shore with their days catch or numerous fireflies that come to you at night, or sometimes a distant view of a ship at the horizon.
