Sri Kailasanatha Temple |
The temple of 8th century, Sri Kailasanatha was constructed by Rajasimha of the Pallava in red sandstone. The temple is covered all over with beautiful carvings; but the Urdhva Tandava dance of Lord Siva and the laughing visage of Parvati are worth mentioning. The architecture of the temple reminds of Shore Temple at Mamallapuram.
