By Air There is an airport in Shimla, 34 kilometers from Clairmont. There are daily flights from Delhi and private air charters can also be arranged. Flying time is approximately 40 minutes. The drive from Shimla Airport to Clairmont takes around 90 minutes and we arrange transfers to and fro. Flying from Delhi to Chandigarh and then driving up is also a preferred option and we can arrange transfers from Chandigarh as well.
By Rail The nearest railhead from the Clairmont is Shimla 10 kilometers away. There is one little light railway that operates between Kalka and Shimla - built in 1903, it is now a recognised historic railway line. It takes approximately 5 hours from Kalka which is connected to Delhi by fast trains.
The dining experience is fresh, wholesome and organic using ingredients from its very own vegetable and herb garden. A Multi-cuisine Chef will be in attendance. However, the hotel can organize, with advance notice, a specialty chef and are happy to cater to your every whim and fancy! From Caviar to Foie Gras, Galauti Kababs to Sushi.
Step out onto terraced gardens, dine al-fresco, play a game of croquet sipping a Gimlet or enjoy a picnic ‘tiffin’ in the surrounding pine forest.
