Day 2 : Mumbai City Tour Enjoy a full day tour of Mumbai today. Visit the Gateway of India built i on 1927, the Prince Wales Museum built to commemorate the Prince Wale's visit to Mumbai in 1905 and representing the ancient and medieval architectural styles of western India. Also visit the Elephanta Caves - a world heritage site.The caves are about 30 – 45 minutes by boat off the coast of Mumbai. The most important sculpture of Elephanta caves is of Trimurti Sadasiva. Upon your return enjoy a drive through the famous Marine Drive – built in 1920. It is around 5 kms long and runs through Arabian Sea from Nariman point along Chowpatty to the foot of Malabar hills. Overnight stay at the hotel in Mumbai. Day 3 : Mumbai – Ahmedabad Early morning transfer to the airport to board a flight to Ahmedabad, located on the banks of the river Sabarmati. Ahmedabad is the largest city of Gujrat and sixth largest city of India. It is one of the major industrial cities in India. Upon arrival to Ahmedabad relax for a while and set out for the guided tour of the city which includes a visit to Jumma Masjid, located in the centre of the old city is one of the most beautiful mosque in India. It was built by Sultan Ahmed Shah in 1423 and is one of the finest example of Hindu & Muslim styles of architecture. Also visit the Sidi Syed Mosque, built by Sidi Syed it is a good example of delicate carvings that transforms stone into filigree. Also checkout the Siddhi Bashir Mosque well known for its Shaking minarets. Overnight stay at the hotel in Ahmedabad.

Day 4 : Ahmedabad City Tour Take a half day tour of Ahmedabad which includes a visit to Hatheesing Jain Temple one of the most famous ornate Jain temples of Ahmedabad. The temple is dedicated to Dharamnath. The pure white marble from which the temple is made up of enhances its beauty. Also explore the Sabarmati Ashram the nerve centre of India's freedom movement was set up by Mahatma Gandhi in 1915. The Ashram was the the first Satyagraha Ashram of Mahatma Gandhi and has a memorial centre, library and a sound & light spectacle. Overnight stay at the hotel in Ahmedabad. Day 5 : Ahmedabad – Jamnagar Morning drive to Jamnagar is about 300 km away and was built by Maharaja Kumar Shri Ranjit Singhji in 1920s. Jamnagar is one of the important states of Saurashtra and is also known as Jewel of Kathiawar. Jamnagar is fast becoming the oil refining capital of the world. However the major attraction of Jamnagar remains its exquisite handicraft and the Jain temples. Overnight stay at the hotel in Jamnagar. Day 6 : Jamnagar – Excursion Dwarka Take an early morning excursion to Dwarka city one of the holiest cities in Hinduism& one of the four main dhams. This excursion includes the visit to Dwarkadheesh – also known as Jagat Mandir or Nij Mandir and is built on the north bank of the Gomti Creek. The major attraction of the temple is its amazing evening prayers. Also visit the Rukmini Devi Temple which is an architectural masterpiece. It is dedicated to Rukmini who is the most important of Krisna's 16108 wives.Return to Jamnagar for the overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7 : Jamnagar – Junagadh
Early morning drive to Junagarh which lies at the foot of Girnar Hill and takes its name from the 'Old Fort' which circles the medieval town. Upon arrival take tour of the city which includes the visit to the major attractions of the city i.e. Uparkot Fort famous for its virtual inaccessibility, Ashoka's Rock Edicts located outside the Junagadh on the Saurashtra peninsula. The edict is inscribed high up on a large domed mass of black granite on Girnar and contains the Brahmi script. |
Also visit Damodar Kund, named after Krishna, and it is also believed that the water of the Kund is sacred due to the dissolving bones of the dead brought for the immersion.

Day 8 : Junagadh - Sasangir
Early morning drive to Sasangir. To conserve the Asiatic Lion Sasangir National Park was established in 1965. A small town Sasan with a forest rest house is the headquarters of the Gir Wildlife Sanctuary. Sasangir, a hilly terrain with dense network of rivers boasts of many antique temples like Kankai Mata and Tulsishyam. Enjoy the adventurous Jeep safari to the National Park. The park is the home to large number of Panthers, Hyenas, Deer, the world's only 4 horned Antelope, Blue Bull, Wild Boar & the dangerous Marsh Crocodile.

Day 9 : Sasangir – Somnath
Soon after the Breakfast take a Jeep Safari to the National Park. After Exploring the jungle & its inhabitants drive to Somnath Temple one of the 12 Jyotilingas of Lord Shiva is situated 79 kms from Junagadh in the Prabhas Kshetra near Veraval in Saurashtra. The temple has imposing architecture and is presumed to have been built by Moon God. Also have a glimpse of temples & Aarti in the evening, Overnight stay at the hotel in Somnath.
Day 10 : Somnath – Diu
Transfer to an island Diu lying off the South coast of Gujrat's Kathiawar peninsula seperated from the mainland by a tidal creek. Upon your arrival to Diu take a guided tour of Diu which will include the visit to the Battlement of Diu Fort, constructed between 1535 – 1541 AD after defence alliance. On the fort stands a giant structure now housing a Lighthouse. And then visit St. Paul's Church known for its magnificent wood panelling was built in 1691 & St. Thomas Church which now houses a museum containing assorted items of Catholic wood carving. Day 11 : Diu – Bhavnagar via Palitana
Drive to Bhavnagar enroute visit the most sacred pilgrimage place of the Jain community Palitana located at about 50 km South-West of Bhavnagar. The Jain temples at Palitana are dedicated to the 24 Jain Tirthankaras. It is also known as Siddhakshetra as three Pandavas Yudhishthir, Bheem & Arjun got Nirvana and it is also believed that Jain devotees attains Moksha here.
Then drive to Bhavnagar, the cultural capital of Saurashtra. It is the second largest city of Saurashtra. Bhavnagar was founded in 1723 AD by Bhavsinhji Gohi. It was a major port for almost two centuries. Overnight stay at the hotel in Bhavnagar.
Day 12 : Bhavnagar City Tour
Take a guided tour of Bhavnagar by visiting Khodiyar Mata shrine, situated on the banks of a beautiful lake is 4 km from Sihor. It is a famous shrine commemorating the family goddess of the erstwhile rulers of Bhavnagar. Then visit Takhteshwar Temple, situated on a small hill top in the middle of the city is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This beautiful temple is made of pure marble. Also explore the Gandhi Smriti Museum which houses a collection of photographs and memorabilia assoiated with Mahatma Gandhi. Last but not the least visit Velavadar Black Buck Sanctuary, in the Bhal region of Saurashtrahouses Indian black buck one can also look for wolf & the lesser florican.
Day 13 : Bhavnagar – Mumbai
Board a flight to Mumbai and from there transfers for your respective onward travel.
