Enchanting Ladakh Tour

Leh | Nubra | Pangong
The ultimate land of lamas, Ladakh is the name of the barren landscapes oozing out spirituality and serenity in the Northern region of India. Bounded by two of the world's mightiest mountain ranges, the Great Himalaya and the Karakoram, it is nestled aslant the Ladakh range and the Zanskar range. It is the stunning land of misty valleys, snow-capped peaks, azure lakes and soulful cultural establishment.  The land often referred to as Last Shangri-La on Earth impresses all the onlookers with the beauty of its barren terrain and celestial essence of its ambiance.

Day-By-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Leh
Arrive at Kushok Bakula airport Leh. Check-in at a hotel in Leh. Later have full day rest to acclimatize yourself.

Day 2: Leh- Lamayuru- Ulleytokpo
Proceed to Lamayuru Monastery. En-route visit Basgo Castle and lunar like landscapes near Lamayuru village. Then drive to Ulleytokpo and check-in at a hotel for overnight.

Day 3: Ulley/Alchi- Leh
Drive back to Leh en-route visit Rizong Nunnery, Indus & Zanskar river Sangam, Magnetic Hill and military Hall of Fame. Check-in at the hotel in Leh and later proceed for a visit to Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa.

Day 4: Leh- Khardongla Pass- Leh
Drive on the Nubra Valley highway to visit Khardongla pass. Later in the afternoon visit Moti market.

Day 5: Leh- Pangong Lake- Leh
Go for an excursion to Pangong Lake crossing Changla Pass and driving via Durbuk and Tangtse villages in the Changthang region of Ladakh. Evening free in the market.

Day 6: Leh- Departure
Early morning transfer to airport, to board flight for onward destination.

Day 1: Arrive at Leh
From Delhi your connecting flight will take you to Kushok Bakula Airport Leh where upon your arrival at the airport, meet our representative awaiting just outside the arrival hall, past the customs area & currency shops. Later at the hotel our representative will brief you about tour starting day after.

The day at Leh will be free for you to relax and get yourself acclimatized to the high altitudes of 3500 meters of Leh.  The sky above is a vivid blue and the breathless and the snow-capped mountains making the visitor breathless, Leh a favorite of backpackers and holidaymakers is cloistered with travel agencies, souvenir shops and travelers.  Spend the day staring at the breathtaking vistas from the comfort of your hotel room. Also, later proceed for a walk around the surroundings and the neighboring bazaars for a quick introduction. 
 
Day 2: Leh- Lamayuru- Ulleytokpo
After breakfast drive to Ulleytokpo and en-route visit Basgo Castle and Lunar like landscapes near Lamayuru village.  On arrival at Ulley you will be accommodated in a hotel for an overnight stay.
 
Day 3: Ulley/Alchi- Leh
Morning drive to Leh, en-route visit Rizong Nunnery which is one of the largest nunneries in Ladakh and also visit the magnificent the Sangam (confluence) of Indus & Zanskar rivers which are the two largest rivers in Ladakh. Also visit Magnetic Hill and Hall of Fame in the region. Arrive at Leh and check-in at the hotel.  At Leh visit Shanti stupa which offers the best aerial views of Leh town and the 17th century built former palace of the Kings of Ladakh i.e. Lehchen Palkhar or Leh Palace which is the seat of the Kindom of Ladakh.
 
Day 4: Leh- Khardongla Pass- Leh
Drive to Nubra valley via Khardung La Pass.  The pass is known amongst one of the highest motorable passes of the world.  The drive from Khardung La Pass will take you to Nubra Valley which is the capital town of Ladakh. From the top of the pass one can a panoramic view of Karakuram range to the north and Ladakh range to the south. Drive back to Leh and the rest of the day will be free for leisurely walk down the main Leh bazaar and you can also visit Moti market to shop for some interesting local jeweleries, curios etc.
 
Day 5: Leh- Pangong Lake- Leh
Early morning start for full day excursion to Pangong Lake, driving via Durbuk and Tangtse villages in the Changthang region of Ladakh.  The Pangong Lake is surely one of the most amazing lakes in Asia for it changes its color 4 – 5 times a day.  Situated in the Himalayas at an altitude of 4350 meters the lake is known for its unique characters and spectacular views. The lake is a wonderful sight with crystal clear blue lake surrounded by colorful barren mountains. Drive back to Leh by evening and enjoy leisurely time in the local bazaars.
 
 Day 6: Leh- Departure
Early morning transfer to airport, to board flight for onward destination.
