Day-By-Day Itinerary
Day 1: India – London Arrive at London and check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: London - Overnight cruise – Netherlands Commence your guided city tour of London. Later transfer to Harwich port in time to cross Channel by overnight Cruise.
Day 3: Hook of Holland – Amsterdam Arrive at Hook of Holland. Disembark the cruise and next set sail for a sightseeing tour of the region and first explore Holland. Evening is free to enjoy famous nightlife on your own.

Document Requirements
- Traveler residing in the following states can apply : Andhra Pradesh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu
- Please note the following points : Applications will be routed through VFS center, which is the outsourced partner of the Consulate. Kindly check for the nearest center to submit the applications.
- Passport : The passport should be undamaged and should have a validity of 3 months from the date of return back to India. 2 adjoining pages along with the reverse side should be blank for visa stamping. Attach all the old passports, if possible.
- Proof of Residence : If the city where the traveler resides differs from the city from where the passport was issued:
- • Proof of residence from your employer on the letter head of the company and
- • Telephone and electricity bills for the current last 3 months. and
- • Purchase or leave license lease agreement and bank statements for the last 3 months.
- Photographs : 2 recent, studio made, undamaged, semi-matt, sized 35mm x 45mm color photographs, with front view on a white background, without borders. The face should cover 80% of the photograph. Avoid wearing light color shirt/ top in order to have better and clear picture.
- Visa Application Form : If the traveler is a minor, i.e. below the age of 18 years, form will have to be signed by either parent.
- The traveler will have to fill and sign a copy of the application form printed back to back. Signature should be done with blue or black ink and should match with the signature on the passport.
- Covering Letter : A typewritten letter from you, addressed to the concern Consular office, giving details and purpose of your visit, duration of stay and financial status.
- Confirmation of Accommodation : Hotel confirmation of the applicant’s stay with exact check –in and check-out dates. Please note the consulate cross checks the hotel reservation with the hotel
- Financial Documents – Personal : Bank Statements from the past 6 months, Income Tax papers from the past 3 years, foreign exchange endorsed on the passport or copy of the applicant’s international credit card and proof of any other sources of income.
- Employment Proof if salaried : A leave letter or N.O.C letter on the letterhead of the company or organization confirmation that the traveler is an employee of the organization and has been granted leave for the mentioned period. Copies of salary slip for the last three months.
- For first time traveler, copies of the applicant’s appointment letter and salary slip for the last three months. For recently joined employee, copies of the applicant’s appointment letter and salary slip for the last three months if possible.
- Company’s Documents if self employed : Balance sheet for the last 1 year and Income Tax returns for the last 3 years. Company profile and brochures. Memorandum and Articles of Association or Certificate of Incorporation.
- No Objection Certificate : A No Objection letter from the non-traveling parent is required if the child below the age of 18 is traveling with single parent. For recently married women, a No Objection from either parent mentioning the details of the trip is required. If a traveler who is traveling alone and is been sponsor by their spouse or parents, a No Objection letter for the same mentioning the details of the trip is required from the concern person. If traveling with children, a bonafide certificate from the school/college or university is required. If traveling with children, a No Objection letter from the school/college or university is required.
- Air Tickets : Confirmed return or onward air ticket along with detailed day to day itinerary should be attached along with the application.

Document Requirements
- Original passport must not be older than 10 years also it must be valid for at least THREE MONTHS longer than the intended stay + 1 photocopy of passport first page. Your passport must have at least TWO BLANK PAGES to affix the visa.
- One application form with ALL COLUMNS filled in and signed by the Applicant.
- TWO RECENT PHOTOS in the size of 35-40 mm width with white background. The face should cover 70-80 % percent of the photo area.
- COVERING LETTER in original from the applicant, introducing himself/herself, explaining the purpose and duration of the visit and the itinerary for the corresponding period in brief.
- Proof of EMPLOYMENT and LEAVE letter on company's letterhead.
- Evidence of STATUS in India, such as individual Income-Tax return, Form 16A, Bank Statement, record of ownership of Real Estate, Share Certificates, Deposits, Investments.
- If the visit is SPONSORED by a Referee in the Netherlands , supporting documents required are:
- Invitation legalized from the Town Hall.
- Passport copy.
- Resident Permit copy.(in case of referee being a non-Dutch national)
- Financial proof of the referee i.e. Salary Slips, Bank Statements
- In the absence of a Referee or sponsor the Applicant must submit:
- Bank statement Or Salary Slips for the recent 3 months
- A confirmed hotel reservation corresponding with the (desired) period of stay.
- Copy of OVERSEAS medical insurance policy, including medical emergency evacuation cover (equivalent to 30000 euros) corresponding with the (desired) period of stay.
- Copy of Confirmed AIRLINE Reservation or PNR.
Important!
- Supporting documents from a Referee must be included with the application for the visa and must not be sent directly to the Consulate General.
- All faxes must be photocopied and in A4 size paper.
- Minor applicants (<18 years) must possess individual passports with a written consent from both their parents as well as the parents’ signatures on the application form. A copy of the parents’ passports should be included to authenticate the signatures on the consent letter. Copy of the Death Certificate or Custody Proof should be provided, where applicable.
- Each application must be supported by a copy of all the requisite documents.

- If you are traveling to Netherlands for the first time then you will need to appear for an interview at the Netherlands Consulate.
- Agents submitting applications for third parties also need to make an appointment. At the time of making the appointment the number of applications as well as the names of the applicants will have to be communicated.

- Two Photographs. 3.5 cms x 4.5 cms with the head centred in the frame.The face should cover about 70-80 percent of the photo area. The photograph MUST be in color and have only a white background. Photos with dark, busy, or patterned backgrounds will not be accepted.
- Covering letter on business letter hade if pax was self employed.
- Hotel Conformation.
- Insurance policy required. Minimum coverage of 30.000. - Euro per person.
- Day to day ittinary.
- Return conform ticket.
- Forex Endorsement With receipt or International Credit card copy.
- Income tax paper last 3 years.
- If employed then salary slips last 3 months.
- Original leave letter from company.
- Bank statement 6month.Updated ONLY
- Company tax paper last 3 years.
- Company bank statement 3 month.
- Copy of marriage certificate wherever necessary for e.g. if wife's passport is in maiden name.
- If pax is employee then leave letter from Organization.
- For honeymoon couple wedding invitation card and NOC letter from parents.
- NOC letter from husband and husband passport copy required if wife is traveling alone.
- First time traveler please provide Educational document.
- If pax joined New Company then please provide appointment letter.
Notes
- Foreign nationals can study in Switzerland for a period of up to 3 months without a
student/residence permit. However, if their stay exceeds 3 months within one year a permit has to be applied for the application has to be submitted to the Swiss Consulate General which will then be forwarded to the Cantonal authority, in Switzerland. The whole process takes 6/8 weeks.

- The visa fee is NON REFUNDABLE
- The processing time for a visa application is 24 hours (NO SAME DAY VISAS!!!)
- Each case is reviewed separately at the time of application, and no guarantee can be given that a visa will be issued.
- Applicants above the age of 60 are required an international medical plan
- Please note that the visa application must be submitted to the Swiss Representation competent for your place of residence. A visa application not submitted to the competent Swiss Representation may be turned down. The Consulate does not accept visa application by post. However, you don't have to personally come to submit the same.
No visas are issued at Chennai & Kolkata -for Kolkata applications are to be sent to the Embassy in New Delhi & for Chennai applications are to be sent to Consulate General in Mumbai
Following instructions have been announced by the the Embassy to make the Visa Process Smooth and Easy.
- Photograph of the applicant should be glued but not stapled/ pinned.
- He Visa Form should be strictly signed by the applicant.
- All the fields have to be filled with specifications given to Occupation for e.g "Business" is not sufficient Correct way: Self Employed , proprietor of an Export House
- Main purpose to Travel should be specific as well for e.g: Tourism ~ tour in Switzerland ( indicate itenary) Business ~ Training program with XYZ organization.
- Only the needed and the relevant documents have to be submitted, the ones required for the Visa Requirement list, for e.g, latest 3 months bank statements till date, current one I.T returns , registration of the company and partnership deed.
- First & last page copy of the passport is also compulsorily needed.
- Urgent or same day Visa requests would strictly not be entertained by the Embassy.
- If the passenger plans to visit any other European Country before or after visiting Switzerland, he has to obtain a visa for that particular country before applying for the Swiss Visa.
- All recent ( last 2 years) refusal stamps should be accompanied by a written explanation, if possible of the competent authority who put the tamp.
Note: If any one does not follow these instructions the Visa Officer at the counter can refuse to take in the application form, since it would be considered incomplete. Processing Time

- Visa application form.

- Last Three years Income Tax chalans or last six month salary sleeps.
- Last six month Bank statement updated till date.
- Copy of marriage certificate wherever necessary for e.g. if wife's passport is in maiden name.
- For honeymoon couple wedding invitation card and NOC letter from parents.
- International credit card copy both side.
- Return conform tickets.
- If you have more financial documents like Fix deposits, LIC, property papers, PPf A/C that also you can submit.
- Invitation letter.
- Invitees Passport copy and visa copy.
- Invitees Bank statement.
- Invitees Residence proof.
- NOC letter from husband and husband passport copy required if wife is traveling alone.
- First time traveler please provide Educational document.
- If pax joined New Company then please provide appointment letter.
Notes
- Fees are payable per applicant, including children and are non-refundable. An official receipt must be obtained for all the payments made.
- You could avail of the optional courier return facility wherein your passport will be returned back to you at your home / office address via a courier, for a nominal charge of Rs.170/- per passport inclusive of 12.24% Service Tax & Cess.
- Documents which are not in English must be translated beforehand.
- Don't buy your tickets unless and until visa is issued.
- If you need to stay longer than six months to complete your medical treatment you can apply to the Immigration and Nationality Department.
- You are not allowed to enter or stay in the UK to receive treatment on the National Health Service (NHS). You must make sure that you have enough medical insurance for the whole of your stay.
- UK, VFS Service Charge should now be paid in favour of 'VFS Global Services Pvt. Ltd.' New Delhi. Effective from , 13th March 2007.
