Built in 1934 by Araluguppe Chandregowda, the mansion is a huge red building with a built up area of 11,000 Sft. With 28 rooms, it has a fine collection of rare paintings, artifacts, chandeliers, carpets, dolls, antique furnitures, collected over a period of five generations. Numerous celebrities have visited the heritage place, including HRH Krishna Rajendra Wodeyar, Sir Mirza Ismail, Dewan of Mysore, Former Prime Ministers Chandrashekar and H.D. Deve Gowda, Field Marshal Cariappa and many other luminaries.

The exclusive and very private mansion has now opened its door to tourists to stay and have a truly heritage experience.
A total of five rooms are available for tourists to stay, one of them is in the main house, the other two are newly built and are named ARABICA and ROBUSTA. Along with the dining area known as PEA BERRY, these buildings are beautifully and asthetically designed to blend with the main heritage mansion, at the same time offer all modern day comforts.
The old rooms Kent and Sandromon are refurbished to the highest standards and blend very well into the natural ambience.
Experience very good home-made food with some of the recipes having been passed over by five generations.
The mansion is complimented by a beautifully landscaped garden and manicured lawn. One of the main attractions in the garden is the larger than life size cactus tree, which is more than 50 years old and is one of the biggest of its kind in this region. The garden is a lovely place to unwind with beautiful garden paths, sit outs and a view that will forever be cherished.
